On December 12, 2022, Renaissance hosted a Client Appreciation Holiday Lunch and Networking event at Nine Orchard in Lower Manhattan. Renaissance’s first event of its kind, the event was a celebration of the achievements of Renaissance’s clients and all they contribute to their communities. Approximately 50 small business owners attended, a mix of clients new to Renaissance and those who have partnered with us for as many as 20 years. What they had in common was that they persevered through the struggles of the pandemic and – with assistance from Renaissance –remain open today.
The businesses in attendance reflected a deep diversity in both business industry and in the demographics of the owners, as well as of the communities they serve. Renaissance invited the owners of four small business clients - Plaques by Azra, La TropiKitchen, Zaab Zaab, and Eben-Ezer Custom Tailor, Inc. – to share their experiences and ideas for starting and growing a business. These four businesses are all immigrant-owned and alone represent industries ranging from restaurants to brick and mortal retail to home-based catering.
Their experiences represent those of so many Renaissance clients, the majority of whom are immigrants, and Renaissance was proud to offer everyone in attendance the opportunity to learn from each other and prepare for the future, even as they celebrate all they have already accomplished. Renaissance thanks our panel for sharing their expertise and all the clients who attended and made this event a success!
