Renaissance's first Holiday Lunch and Networking event
In May 2022, Citizens and LISC NY celebrated Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by partnering with Asian Americans for Equality and Renaissance Economic Development Corporation to launch the largest corporate business grant for minority-owned small businesses in Chinatown in recent years. Highlights: • Citizens committed $400,000 to support two small businesses initiatives in Chinatown, with $350,000 directly supporting small minority-owned businesses and $50,000 towards sponsoring the Chinatown Night Markets • Twenty-two (22) minority-owned small businesses have been selected to receive direct grants of $10,000 to help strengthen and sustain their businesses • 100 small businesses will receive place-based, culturally responsive, support and in-depth technical assistance from AAFE, in partnership with Renaissance EDC
